Presentation of our PhD student Juraj Oravec was awarded by the Slovak Society for Cybernetics and Informatics at the 13th Conference of PhD Students ELITECH'11.

Students will use the Honeywell UniSim Design Suite to create a process design to solve a critical plant business issue. Students must demonstrate creativity, innovation, and detail the benefits derived from their solution.

Prof. Fikar was awarded the Professor of the Year 2010 by the Rector of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava.

Academic senate of the Faculty elected assoc. prof. Ing. Monika Bakošová, PhD as vice-dean for academic affairs. We congratulate and wish success. At the same time we want to thank for her work as a Deputy head of the Department in which she was succeeded by assoc. prof. Ing. Ján Dvoran, CSc.

Our department co-organises a workshop in NIL project on January 10-16, 2011.

Prof. Sigurd Skogestad from the Department of Chemical Engineering, Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim, Norway will give his lecture on the topic Controlled Variable and Measurement Selection on 8 November 2010 at the DIEPC FCFT STU in Bratislava. Room: 641,  time: 13:00h.
